Winery history Corte Rugolin

Corte Rugolin is set in a historic rural courtyard whose core dates back to the 17th century. The family's winemaking tradition goes back through previous generations; the current company was launched in 1998 by siblings Elena and Federico Coati, who modernized production practices while honoring Valpolicella's traditional methods, in particular the appassimento for Recioto and Amarone.

Production philosophy

The winery prioritizes quality and environmental responsibility: hand-selected grapes, careful grape drying and integrated vineyard management practices. It follows the guidelines of the Consorzio della Valpolicella’s «Riduci, Risparmia, Rispetta» project to reduce environmental impact and promote biodiversity in the vineyard.

Terroir and vineyards

The estate is located in the heart of Valpolicella Classica, between the Monti Lessini, the plains and Lake Garda. The vineyards lie on calcareous-clay soils and include several crus spread across Marano di Valpolicella, Sant’Ambrogio di Valpolicella and San Pietro in Cariano.
