Winery history Cottet-Dubreuil

The estate was founded when Alain Cottet, a botanist, met Claudie Dubreuil, who comes from a family in Courteron; in 1985 the couple combined their surnames and launched the Cottet‑Dubreuil label. Today production continues with the next generation, with Claire Cottet involved in vineyard work and winemaking.

Production philosophy

The approach prioritizes vineyard care, respect for biodiversity and natural balance; winemaking combines traditional methods with contemporary cellar practices, focusing on family blends and extended aging of the cuvées.

Terroir and vineyards

Situated in Courteron, one of the 64 communes of the Côte des Bar in the Champagne area, with vineyards planted along the banks of the Seine on limestone, marl and Kimmeridgian clay soils.
