Winery history Terre Margaritelli

The Margaritelli family has been connected to the land since the 19th century; the estate's winemaking began as a family activity in 1950 at the initiative of Fernando Margaritelli. In 2000 Giuseppe Margaritelli launched the Terre Margaritelli project, expanding the vineyards and beginning the conversion to organic viticulture. In recent years the estate has undertaken sustainability and certification initiatives.

Production philosophy

It focuses on the "sincerity of the land", organic vineyard management and controlled experimentation. The estate prioritizes sustainable practices, respect for biodiversity, and the use of French oak barriques to refine the wines while preserving the character of the grape variety.

Terroir and vineyards

The vineyard is located on Miralduolo hill, in the municipality of Torgiano, in the heart of the historic DOC Torgiano appellation, characterized by hillside exposures favorable to viticulture.
