Winery history Wirth Michel

The estate was founded by Raoul Bouché and has been passed down through several generations. Today it is managed by the Wirth–Michel family: Alain Wirth, Nathalie Michel, and the younger generation led by Antonin Michel, who returned after business studies and training in viticulture and enology.

Production philosophy

Pragmatic, artisanal approach in the vineyard and cellar: they practice massal selection, avoid herbicides and chemical insecticides, and adopt sustainable viticulture methods recognized in Champagne. They aim to express the character of each terroir through diversified winemaking.

Terroir and vineyards

The vineyards, just over 4 hectares in total, are spread across the Coteaux Sud d'Épernay in the villages of Moussy, Vinay, Brugny‑Vaudancourt and Saint‑Martin d'Ablois. Soils dominated by clay and limestone shape the expression of Meunier, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir used in their cuvées.
