Azienda Agricola Zidarich, based in Prepotto (Duino Aurisina, Trieste) in the Carso. Small family-run producer led by Beniamino (Benjamin) Zidarich, known for local varieties Vitovska, Malvasia and Terrano. Cellar dug into the rock; the Malvasia IGT Venezia Giulia is 100% Malvasia, vinified with skin maceration, indigenous yeasts, oak ageing and bottled unfiltered (approx. 4,000 bottles).

Founded in 1988 (reported in academic and industry sources). The new cellar dug into the rock was officially inaugurated on 3 July 2009.

Production philosophy

Strong territorial focus: priority to local varieties and low-intervention practices in vineyard and cellar. Traditional vinifications using indigenous yeasts, skin macerations and oak ageing; minimal enological intervention and, where applicable, unfiltered bottling.

Terroir and vineyards

Trieste Carso (Prepotto, Duino Aurisina) — calcareous soils with red karst earth; south‑east exposure; altitude indicated for the Malvasia: 260–280 m.
