Distillation and production

Distillation and production

Production method

Production relies on small copper stills and traditional methods (including water bath for some fruit spirits and grappa), controlled macerations for liqueurs, vacuum distillation for specific products using the still "Luisa", and double distillation for the R74 rum; aging takes place in stainless steel or wooden barrels depending on the product.

Distillation

Predominant use of discontinuous copper stills; vacuum distillation in the still "Luisa" for certain products; declared double distillation for the rum; maceration for liqueurs.

Ageing

Variable aging: some spirits remain in stainless steel (e.g. certain fruit spirits), others (e.g. R74 Aged) mature for years in wooden barrels; the technique depends on the individual product.

Producer history Roner

The business began in 1946 when Gottfried Roner started the first home production of spirits. Since then the company has evolved over generations, expanding its range from grappa and fruit brandies to a modern portfolio that includes gin, rum, vermouth and mixology products. Today the distillery is led by the third generation and has received numerous international awards.

Production philosophy

To enhance the Alpine territory by processing local raw materials (fruits and grape pomace), preserving traditional methods while adopting innovative tools and techniques to highlight the region's characteristic aromas.

Territory

Termeno / Tramin, South Tyrol (Alto Adige), the alpine wine region of northern Italy.
