The St. Magdalener "Lena" by Joseg Weger is a red wine from Alto Adige DOC that presents an elegant and measured profile. In the glass it shows a bright ruby color; on the nose there are delicate scents of ripe red fruit, light floral notes, spicy hints and subtle earthy nuances that form a refined but unobtrusive picture. The palate progression is harmonious, with gentle tannins and a flavor structure that favors freshness and drinkability, finishing with a persistent finish that echoes the fruity notes.

It pairs with everyday and regional dishes: cold cuts, white meat dishes, flavorful soups, medium-aged cheeses and rustic preparations that are not overly complex. It suits those seeking a versatile red, to use both as a table wine and for informal, convivial pairings. Recommended serving temperature around 16–18°C; opening it a few minutes before serving helps reveal its aromatic subtleties. Its discreet character also makes it suitable for lighter tasting menus or dinners where the wine should complement without overpowering the flavors.
