Elegant and imposing, this Amarone della Valpolicella Valpantena DOCG Riserva by Costa Arente expresses an intense personality without losing finesse. On the nose it opens with ripe red fruit and plum, followed by warm notes of cocoa, sweet tobacco and a balsamic hint that adds depth; the profile remains compact but not excessive, with a sense of softness that supports the body. The palate is full-bodied and enveloping, with well-integrated tannins and balanced acidity maintaining freshness and dynamism, while the finish leaves impressions of dark fruit and sweet spices.

The presence in a wooden case adds a touch of prestige, making it elegant even as a gift. It pairs with structured dishes such as braised meats, stewed game and aged cheeses, but also holds up well with simpler dishes that seek warmth and concentration. Serve slightly decanted and at a moderate temperature to appreciate its complexity; it is a wine for contemplation or to bring to the table when the meal calls for intensity and substance.
