The Barbaresco DOCG Asili by Cà del Baio is born in the renowned Langhe area, the beating heart of Piedmontese viticulture. Obtained from Nebbiolo vines carefully cultivated in the Asili vineyard, this wine reflects the excellence of the production territory, known for the tuff and limestone soils that confer finesse and complexity.

Maturation takes place in oak barrels that develop a perfect balance between structure and softness, enhancing the intense aromas of withered rose, small red fruits, and spicy notes of licorice and tobacco. On the palate, it is elegant, with silky tannins and a persistent sapidity that accompanies a long and harmonious finish.

This Barbaresco is an ideal companion for important meat dishes such as braised and roasted meats, but it also pairs with class with aged cheeses. Its magnum, with greater natural oxygenation, offers an even more enveloping experience, perfect for those who wish to savor an authentic expression of Nebbiolo and the terroir of the Langhe.

Family-run winery Based in Treiso, with vineyards in the Barbaresco crus. Adherence to the principles of the Green Experience project for sustainable viticulture Use of native yeasts and limited use of sulfites in the cellar.
Winery history
The Grasso family has been connected to these hills for generations: Giuseppe Grasso's arrival in Treiso is documented in 1870, and in the following decades the family progressively selected and vinified individual parcels. In the 1980s and 2000s the winery refined the separation of grapes by cru, and in 2008 introduced experiments with Riesling. The revival and modern visibility of the winery are linked to the work of Giulio Grasso, and today management also involves the family's daughters.
Production philosophy
It favors a sustainable approach to viticulture, eliminating chemical weed control, using cover crops, and prioritizing biodiversity and soil conservation. In the cellar, fermentations with indigenous yeasts are encouraged and the use of sulfites is limited to preserve the character of the vintages and their ageing potential.
Terroir and vineyards
The estate and most of its vineyards are located in Treiso, near Barbaresco and not far from Neive. The estate's vineyards fall within historic crus such as Vallegrande, Asili, Pora, Marcarini, Ferrere and Trestelle; the soils are typically calcareous marls that characterize the Barbaresco area.
Awards and recognitions
Giulio Grasso was named "Winemaker of the Year" by the Gambero Rosso guide.
