Cagliero's Barbera d'Alba Superiore DOC is a wine that embodies the passion and craftsmanship of Piedmontese viticulture, offering a superior version of this beloved grape variety. Produced in the heart of the Langhe, this label represents the expression of careful work in the vineyard and a careful winemaking and aging process, which aims to enhance the intrinsic qualities of Barbera.

The wine has an intense and deep ruby red color, a prelude to a very pleasant olfactory and gustatory complexity. On the nose, it opens with intense and enveloping aromas of ripe red fruits, such as cherries and plums, enriched by notes of sweet spices and a delicate touch of vanilla, the result of aging in wood which contributes to making the bouquet even more complex and inviting .

In the mouth, Cagliero's Barbera d'Alba Superiore DOC demonstrates extraordinary richness and structure, while maintaining a lively acidity that is a distinctive characteristic of the Barbera grape. The tannins are soft and well integrated, contributing to a sensation of roundness and fullness. The balance between the fruity component and the spicy accents blends into a long and persistent finish, which leaves a pleasant aftertaste.

This wine is particularly suitable in combination with Piedmontese dishes, such as agnolotti del plin, stewed and braised meats, as well as with medium and long-matured cheeses. Its structure and complexity also make it an excellent candidate for aging, capable of evolving and enriching itself with new nuances over the years.
