The Barolo DOCG "Castelletto Vigna Pressenda" by Conterno Fantino is a prestigious label that reflects the excellence and winemaking passion of the Conterno Fantino winery, located in the suggestive hills of the Langhe, in Piedmont. This wine comes from the specific Pressenda vineyard, located in the Castelletto area, one of the most appreciated sub-regions for the production of Barolo, where the particular climatic conditions and soil composition contribute to creating a Nebbiolo of extraordinary complexity and depth.

On the face, the "Castelletto Vigna Pressenda" has a garnet red color typical of Barolos, with reflections that tend towards orange as the wine matures. On the nose, it opens with an intense aroma, characterized by notes of ripe red fruit, in particular cherries and plums, together with hints of withered flowers, spices, tobacco and a subtle trace of leather, a distinctive sign of long maturation.

In the mouth, the Barolo of Conterno Fantino reveals extraordinary elegance and power, with well-structured but silky tannins, which blend into a rich and enveloping body. The well-balanced acidity gives freshness and guarantees long aging. The finish is persistent and complex, with a return of the olfactory notes and an addition of minerality which underlines its origin and typicality.

Perfect in combination with rich and structured dishes, such as red meats, game, truffle-based dishes and mature cheeses, the "Castelletto Vigna Pressenda" by Conterno Fantino is also a wine for contemplation, which invites a slow tasting to fully appreciate its richness and complexity.
