Elegant and profound, this Barolo Brunate from Mario Marengo expresses the typical character of Nebbiolo with grace and precision. On the nose it opens with notes of ripe red fruit, dried rose and light earthy nuances, accompanied by hints of sweet spice and tobacco that emerge with aeration. The palate is supported by a taut, vertical framework: vibrant acidity and fine tannins shape the structure without weighing it down, leaving a sensation of purity and fluid flow. The magnum contributes to a slow evolution and a pleasant underlying softness.

On the palate it reveals a savory mid-palate, with fruity echoes and a pleasant slightly bitter persistence that invites another sip. This is a Barolo that favors balance over opulence, suited to traditional dishes such as braised meats, roasted pork ribs and aged cheeses, but also capable of accompanying more refined preparations. Serve at a cool cellar temperature and decant to appreciate its complexity: it promises to develop in bottle for several years.
