Lisini’s Brunello di Montalcino DOCG is a red wine bearing a protected designation of origin and quality. The available product information does not specify the vintage, vinification or ageing, so it is best to refer to the details on the bottle rather than assign undocumented aromas or ageing characteristics to the wine. Its name links it to Montalcino and to a recognised style in Italian wine tradition. It is an option to consider when choosing a red wine with a designation of origin, according to personal taste and the occasion.

At the table, it can be paired with flavourful dishes such as roasted or braised meats, mushroom dishes and aged cheeses. These are general serving suggestions, not specific recommendations from the producer. It can accompany a relaxed lunch or a dinner where wine is served throughout the meal. For serving, a large wine glass is a useful choice; follow any guidance on the label. In the absence of technical details, serving temperature and whether to open the bottle in advance can be decided according to the occasion and personal preference. A bottle for those wishing to explore Brunello under the Lisini name, while checking the label for details of the specific vintage.

Winery history
According to documents preserved in the family archive, the Lisini-Clementi family has been connected with the Montalcino area since the mid-16th century. The estate includes an old farmhouse with a tower dating from the 14th century. Elina Lisini helped develop the estate and was among the founders of the Consorzio del Brunello di Montalcino in 1967.
Production philosophy
The winery says it tends its vineyards carefully, limits the use of chemicals and avoids forcing cultivation. In the cellar, it follows traditional winemaking practices and carefully selects the grapes, aiming to express Sangiovese and the terroir of Montalcino.
Terroir and vineyards
The estate is in the southern part of the Montalcino area, near Sant’Angelo in Colle. Its vineyards lie at 350–500 metres above sea level and are open to breezes from the Maremma. Ugolaia comes from the vineyard of the same name, which faces southwest.
