Brunello di Montalcino DOCG in Magnum format, presented in a wooden case by Canalicchio Di Sopra, is an excellent choice for wine lovers and collectors. This prestigious presentation not only highlights the quality and elegance of Brunello, but also underlines the importance of the wine as a work of oenological art and a collector's item.

Canalicchio Di Sopra, a renowned winery located in the heart of Montalcino, Tuscany, is known for its Brunello di Montalcino which combines elegance, power and longevity. The winery is committed to expressing the unique characteristics of Sangiovese, the grape variety from which Brunello is exclusively produced, through sustainable practices in the vineyard and careful management in the cellar.

The Magnum format (1.5 litres) is particularly appreciated by connoisseurs for its intrinsic qualities linked to the aging of wine. It offers greater stability and slower maturation than standard bottles, encouraging the development of richer aromatic complexity and more delicate flavor nuances over time.

Canalicchio Di Sopra's Brunello di Montalcino is aged for a minimum period of five years, of which at least two years in wooden barrels, as required by the specifications of the DOCG denomination. This aging process helps give the wine its characteristic tannic structure, aromatic depth and potential for evolution.

Presented in a wooden case, Canalicchio Di Sopra's Brunello di Montalcino Magnum is not only protected and aesthetically enhanced, but also becomes an ideal gift for special occasions or a standout element in any collection of fine wines.

The wine has a deep ruby red color, tending towards garnet with aging. On the nose, it offers a wide range of aromas that include ripe red fruits, spicy, balsamic notes and a background of leather and tobacco, testifying to its evolution and maturity. In the mouth, Brunello di Canalicchio Di Sopra expresses notable complexity with fine tannins and a freshness that balances its richness, leading to a long and persistent finish.

Ideal to accompany red meat dishes, game and mature cheeses, this Brunello in Magnum format can be tasted now or stored to enjoy its evolution over time, becoming even richer and more complex.

Founded in 1962 by Primo Pacenti, Canalicchio di Sopra has grown as a family-run estate committed to improving the quality of Montalcino wines. The winery's first bottle of Brunello dates to 1966, and in 1967 the estate was among the founding members of the Consorzio del Vino Brunello di Montalcino. Today it is managed by successive generations who combine tradition and innovation.
Production philosophy
Pursuit of elegance and respect for the land: the estate works exclusively with the Sangiovese grape to highlight the differences among the individual crus. Vineyard and cellar choices pursue the purity of the fruit, balance, and the protection of the environment that hosts the vineyards.
