The Bolgheri Rosso DOC Campo al Mare from Folonari is a wine that reflects the character of the appellation. Visually it shows an intense ruby color with purplish highlights. On the nose it offers aromas of ripe red berries, spicy hints and light herbal touches; the expression remains straightforward and not overworked. On the palate it confirms the olfactory impressions: balanced structure, present but well-integrated tannins and acidity that supports the sip, with a finish that recalls the fruit.

It is suitable for relatively prompt consumption but can also accompany medium-structured meals. Serve at around 16–18 °C in large glasses to enhance the aromas. Classic pairings include meat dishes, flavorful sauces and medium-aged cheeses; it also pairs well with grilled meats or roasts. Store in a cool, dark place, preferably lying down if you intend to keep it for a while.

Winery history
The Folonari family has deep roots in the Brescia area and has been involved in wine production since the late 18th century. At the end of the 19th century the headquarters were moved to Brescia, and in the early 20th century the family acquired the historic Ruffino winery. In the 1960s Nino Folonari began a shift toward quality with the acquisition of estates in Chianti. In 2000 Ambrogio and Giovanni Folonari established Ambrogio e Giovanni Folonari Tenute, which brings together several estates in Tuscany, while the Folonari brand offers an extensive range of table wines and appellation wines.
Production philosophy
Enhance the production areas, combine tradition and innovation, and focus on grape quality to produce wines that are distinctive and closely tied to their territory; the company's plan includes investments in the estates and attention to the diversity of terroirs.
Terroir and vineyards
Headquarters and estates are mainly in Tuscany, with production and a presence also in north-eastern regions such as Veneto and in areas like the Collio; the company’s history begins in the Bresciano and includes references to territories around Lake Garda and beyond.
Awards and recognitions
The "Vinitaly Territory Ambassador" award was presented to Ambrogio e Giovanni Folonari Tenute.
