Pairing Red meats, roasts, aged cheeses
Of good structure and Mediterranean character, this Cannonau di Sardegna shows an intense ruby color in the glass. On the nose it offers ripe red fruit and notes of sweet spices, with an herbal undertone that recalls the maquis; the sip is warm but balanced, supported by noticeable tannins and a pleasant freshness that makes it easy to drink. The body is concentrated without being oppressive, with a savoriness that lengthens the finish and leaves a persistence of fruit and spice. The tannic weave, fine and well integrated, gives structure without closing the profile.

Suitable for rustic dishes and land-based cuisine, it pairs well with roasts, light game, savory sauces and aged cheeses; it is also interesting with tomato- and mushroom-based preparations. Excellent with grilled foods and spicier dishes, it supports rich preparations without overwhelming them. Serve at around 16–18 °C, decanting for a few dozen minutes if greater aromatic openness is desired; a wine to enjoy at the table, direct but with a few nuances to discover.

Winery history
Masi's history is rooted in Valpolicella Classica. A historic family-owned estate, it has developed and enhanced the wines from dried grapes typical of the region. During the 20th century the company helped popularize practices such as ripasso and launched oenological research and experimentation to refine the appassimento technique and the quality of its Amarone and its high-end bottlings.
Production philosophy
It combines respect for local traditions and indigenous grape varieties with research and innovation in winemaking and in the appassimento process. The approach aims to express the Valpolicella territory through careful grape selection, the practice of appassimento and targeted oenological experimentation focused on quality improvement.
Terroir and vineyards
It operates mainly in the Valpolicella Classica, in the province of Verona. The wines are closely linked to the local grape varieties and the area's traditional practices, particularly to typical wines such as Amarone, Recioto and Valpolicella Ripasso.
