Pairing Aperitifs, fish, shellfish, light dishes
Alain Millesimé Premier Cru presents a fine perlage and lively bubbles that support a balanced aromatic profile: ripe citrus, a faint note of green apple and hints of white flowers intertwine with a touch of bread crust suggesting a gentle complexity. The nose is direct but not simple, with a freshness that invites a sip and a mineral sensation that brings precision to the aromatic picture, maintaining the elegant character typical of a good Premier Cru expression signed by Louis Brochet for Folonari.

On the palate the wine shows drive and harmony: the acidity is lively but well-balanced, the texture is saline and the mousse provides creaminess without weighing it down. The finish is clean and of good persistence, suitable both as an aperitif and to accompany delicate seafood dishes, shellfish or refined starters. Serve chilled; it is also enjoyable with indulgent but not overly structured pairings, when seeking balance and depth in the glass.

Approximately 250 hectares of vineyards across the company’s estates. Declared production of approximately 1.2 million bottles. A wine portfolio featuring typical labels from the Veneto and Tuscany.
Winery history
The Folonari family has deep roots in the Brescia area and has been involved in wine production since the late 18th century. At the end of the 19th century the headquarters were moved to Brescia, and in the early 20th century the family acquired the historic Ruffino winery. In the 1960s Nino Folonari began a shift toward quality with the acquisition of estates in Chianti. In 2000 Ambrogio and Giovanni Folonari established Ambrogio e Giovanni Folonari Tenute, which brings together several estates in Tuscany, while the Folonari brand offers an extensive range of table wines and appellation wines.
Production philosophy
Enhance the production areas, combine tradition and innovation, and focus on grape quality to produce wines that are distinctive and closely tied to their territory; the company's plan includes investments in the estates and attention to the diversity of terroirs.
Terroir and vineyards
Headquarters and estates are mainly in Tuscany, with production and a presence also in north-eastern regions such as Veneto and in areas like the Collio; the company’s history begins in the Bresciano and includes references to territories around Lake Garda and beyond.
Awards and recognitions
