Let’s talk about Champagne Extra Brut - Jean Vesselle

More questions

  • Prestigious cuvée: 'Le Petit Clos', noted by critics.
The story
A family-run estate passed down through generations: the Vesselle family continues a long winemaking tradition in Bouzy, currently managed by Delphine and David Vesselle. The house places particular emphasis on the area's historic vineyards and a flagship cuvée called "Le Petit Clos".
Production philosophy
Production focused on the quality of the terroir and environmental stewardship: in-house winemaking, pursuit of sustainable practices and attention to the typicity of the grapes to achieve distinct expressions of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.
Terroir and vineyards
Vineyards are spread across Bouzy, Loches-sur-Ource and, since the 2014 acquisition, also plots in Chouilly. The terroir is characterized by limestone soils and a strong suitability for Pinot Noir in the Bouzy parcels.
Awards and recognition
The cuvée "Le Petit Clos" is recognized by critics; the producer is frequently mentioned in guides and the specialist press for its Grand Cru cuvées.
