Chardonnay – Chablis AOC – Les Chanoines by Laroche is a white wine identified by three essential details: the Chardonnay grape, the Chablis AOC appellation and the cuvée name. The information available does not specify a vintage or provide details about winemaking or ageing. This description therefore stays with a general tasting profile and avoids attributing unconfirmed characteristics to the wine. The expected style of a Chardonnay from Chablis generally favours freshness and precision, with citrus suggestions and a mineral impression. These are presented as indications of style, not as guaranteed tasting notes.

At the table, it can accompany delicately prepared dishes such as fish, seafood or vegetable-based recipes without overwhelming their flavours. It may suit those looking for a versatile white wine to enjoy in an informal setting or alongside a meal. To appreciate its balance, serve it chilled but not excessively cold, as very low temperatures may mute its aromatic impressions. Food-pairing and serving suggestions are general. For specific details about this bottle, including its vintage and actual characteristics, please refer to the producer’s technical sheet.

Winery history
The historic cellars of Domaine Laroche are located in the Obédiencerie of Chablis, a complex with cellars dating back to the Middle Ages where the canons of Saint Martin practiced winemaking. The house’s modern origins are linked to Jean Victor Laroche, who purchased the first vineyards in the Maligny area around 1850. Since then the estate has grown, consolidating the family's and the domaine's role in the Chablis region and continuing to raise and mature its Premier and Grand Cru wines in the historic cellars.
Production philosophy
The winery's philosophy focuses on enhancing the terroir and the clean expression of Chardonnay: respect for the soil, careful vineyard management, and an approach geared toward sustainability and quality, with aging and refinement in the historic cellars. In recent years production has evolved to include sustainable practices and initiatives toward organic/biodynamic viticulture and reduced intervention in the vineyard.
Terroir and vineyards
The vineyards are located in the Chablis area of Burgundy, characterized by Kimmeridgian limestone marl and the Serein River. The domaine cultivates parcels across the various Chablis appellation levels and uses the millennia-old cellars of the Obédiencerie for ageing.
