The Chianti Classico DOCG Riserva "Jeroboam" from Vigneti La Selvanella represents the pinnacle of quality and expression of the Sangiovese grape in one of the most prestigious terroirs in Tuscany. Produced in a limited edition and presented in an impressive Jeroboam format, equivalent to four standard bottles, this wine is a true celebration of the Chianti Classico winemaking tradition, offering a tasting experience of exceptional intensity and complexity.

This Chianti Classico Riserva is the result of a careful selection of the best Sangiovese grapes, grown in the La Selvanella vineyards, renowned for their position and the ideal microclimate which allows us to obtain superior quality grapes. The prolonged refinement in oak barrels and subsequent rest in the bottle allow this wine to develop a rich aromatic profile and an elegant and refined tannic structure.

Visually, the wine has a deep ruby red color, with garnet nuances that anticipate its maturity and complexity. On the nose, the bouquet is broad and articulated, with notes of ripe red fruits, spices, leather and tobacco, enriched with balsamic and mineral nuances that reflect the richness of its terroir.

On the palate, it offers an intense and enveloping tasting experience, with silky and well-integrated tannins that underline its elegance. The flavors of cherry, plum and spices blend in perfect balance with the toasted and vanilla notes given by the aging in wood, leading to a long and persistent finish, marked by a pleasant complexity and a vibrant acidic freshness.

Ideal for special occasions and celebrations, the Chianti Classico DOCG Riserva "Jeroboam" from Vigneti La Selvanella is a wine that pairs beautifully with rich and structured dishes, such as grilled red meats, game, mushroom dishes and mature cheeses. Its presentation in Jeroboam format also makes it a collector's item and a high-impact gift for wine lovers.

Winery history
La Selvanella is known as one of the first crus to appear on the label in the Chianti Classico denomination: the first vintage cited in sources is 1969. Over time the La Selvanella vineyard has been celebrated for the consistency of its style and for vertical tastings by specialist critics. The wine’s commercial management and promotion are linked to well‑established Tuscan operators.
Production philosophy
The approach is centered on expressing the single vineyard: restrained winemaking practices that respect the grapes and the terroir, massal selection for Sangiovese, and extended maturation in large casks to preserve structure and balance while enhancing the cru's elegance.
Terroir and vineyards
Lucarelli locality, in the municipality of Radda in Chianti, on the right bank of the Pesa stream; altitudes range from approximately 330 to 600 metres above sea level. Soils are dominated by Macigno, Formazione di Sillano and occasional patches of Pietraforte; the morphological setting and the cool microclimate contribute to a marked diurnal temperature range and to the aromatic profile of Sangiovese.
