Costa del Nero DOC - Conte Vistarino is an elegant and complex red wine, produced by the historic Conte Vistarino estate, located in Lombardy, in the heart of the Oltrepò Pavese. This area is known for its wine-growing vocation, thanks to a terroir particularly favorable to the cultivation of both native and international varieties, which find a unique expression here.

Costa del Nero is mainly dedicated to the Pinot Noir variety, a vine that requires particular attention both in the vineyard and in the cellar but which, in ideal conditions, is capable of giving life to wines of great finesse and depth. Conte Vistarino is one of the pioneers in the cultivation of Pinot Noir in Italy, having introduced this grape variety as early as the 19th century, and their extensive experiences are reflected in the high quality of the wines produced.

This DOC (Controlled Designation of Origin) wine comes from vineyards located on hills characterized by calcareous-clayey soils, which give the wine a distinctive minerality and contribute to its structure and elegance. The favorable exposure and the microclimate of the area guarantee optimal maturation of the grapes, which are harvested manually to preserve their integrity.

When tasted, Costa del Nero DOC has a brilliant ruby red color, tending towards garnet with aging. On the nose, the wine offers a rich and complex bouquet, with notes of ripe red fruits, such as cherries and blackberries, floral accents, nuances of spices and a light balsamic touch, the result of skilful processing and an adequate period of aging in wood .

In the mouth, the wine is balanced, with silky and well-integrated tannins that support a robust but elegant structure. The lively acidity helps to maintain freshness and drinkability, leading to a long and pleasantly persistent finish, with a return of fruity and spicy notes.

Ideal in combination with red meat dishes, game, mushroom-based dishes and mature cheeses, Costa del Nero DOC - Conte Vistarino is a wine that stands out for its ability to combine aromatic intensity and structural finesse, offering an experience tasting that reflects the high quality of Pinot Noir grown in Oltrepò Pavese.
