L’Insouciante Blanc from Cave de Cairanne is an organic Côtes du Rhône made from vineyards in and around Cairanne, in the Vaucluse on the Rhône’s left bank. The vines grow on gently sloping, sun-facing sites with stony clay-limestone soils. The blend combines 50% Grenache Blanc, 30% Roussanne and 20% Marsanne, bringing together generous fruit, floral character and a balanced freshness.

It pours a bright, pale-gold colour. The nose is notably fruity, with delicate white-flower aromas. On the palate, the wine is remarkably round, while a gentle acidity provides freshness and balance. Winemaking includes a short skin maceration, direct pressing and temperature-controlled fermentation. Serve between 12 and 13 °C. L’Insouciante Blanc is an easy choice for an aperitif and pairs well with seafood tapas, fish with beurre blanc, grilled red mullet, salmon, shellfish and goat cheese. Its fresh, floral profile makes it a versatile white for relaxed meals and convivial occasions.

Winery history
Founded as a cooperative in 1929, the Cave de Cairanne developed as a collective of local winegrowers. Today it brings together numerous members who work the vineyards in Cairanne and the surrounding area. The brand name Camille Cayran identifies the range of wines produced by the cooperative and reflects the collaborative work between the winegrowers and a central technical team.
Production philosophy
Careful vineyard work and respect for local heritage: soil care, rigorous grape selection and precise winemaking. The winery declares a combination of respect for traditional practices and openness to innovation, producing both conventional and organic wines and some cuvées with no added sulfites.
Terroir and vineyards
The vineyard is located in the heart of the crus of the southern Rhône Valley. The terrain is varied: alluvial terraces, garrigue and a hilly massif with limestone-clay soils, marls and pebbles. The Mediterranean climate, the strong Mistral wind and the pronounced day–night temperature variation characterize grape ripening. The location is close to appellations such as Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Gigondas and Vacqueyras.
Awards and recognitions
The winery has received numerous awards and medals in international guides and competitions; among these is being named "Cave Coopérative de l’Année 2024" by Revue des Vins, along with mentions and medals from Decanter, Mundus Vini and the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles, and citations in Guide Hachette.
