The Côtes du Rhône Blanc Le P’Tit Gars, produced by the renowned winery Domaine de L'Operatoire St. Martin, is a true gem among French white wines. This wine, crafted in the historic region of the Vallée du Rhône, is the result of a meticulous blend of Viognier, Grenache Blanc, and Clairette grapes, which together confer an exceptionally rich and complex aromatic profile.

On the nose, Le P’Tit Gars seduces with its lively notes of fresh fruit, such as peach and apricot, enriched by hints of white flowers and a slight touch of aromatic herbs. On the palate, it is fresh and well-balanced, with a pleasant acidity that enhances its drinkability, and a palate that echoes the delicious fruity notes perceived on the nose, leading to a surprisingly long and satisfying finish.

Ideal as an aperitif, this wine is also an excellent companion for dishes based on fish, seafood, and fresh cheeses. Its versatility and the refinement of its flavors make it a preferred choice for any occasion, capable of enchanting both the novice and the white wine enthusiast.

Winery history
Traces of vine-growing in Cairanne date back to antiquity; the Alary family settled in Cairanne in 1692, according to local archives. In the following decades the property was passed down from generation to generation. In 1984 Frédéric and François Alary revitalized the estate, earning local recognition and beginning the conversion to organic agriculture in the 1990s, with a shift to biodynamics in 2008. In 2020 the Abeille-Fabre family acquired the estate, ensuring continuity of the philosophy and work undertaken.
Production philosophy
The estate emphasizes terroir expression through attentive agronomic practices: soil management, enhancement of old vineyards, and winemaking that preserves the identity of each parcel. Their stated approach combines organic viticulture with biodynamic principles to support ecosystem health and the authenticity of the cuvées.
Terroir and vineyards
The domaine is located in Cairanne, with the vineyard concentrated on the lieux-dits of Saint-Martin, Les Douyes and Le Coustias at roughly 200 m elevation. The slopes are hilly and often steep, with variable soils that include Quaternary colluvium, pebbles, yellow and grey marls, limestone beds and sandy layers; on these soils older vineyards predominate.
