La vinificazione avviene seguendo il metodo tradizionale, dove la seconda fermentazione si svolge in bottiglia, permettendo un affinamento sui lieviti che conferisce al vino una cremosa effervescenza e aromi distintivi. Al vino è riservato un periodo di maturazione di almeno 12 mesi, che ne arricchisce il bouquet con note di frutti rossi, come ciliegie e lamponi, accompagnati da una leggera sfumatura di crosta di pane e lievito.

Winery history
The history behind the name Arthur Metz begins in the Epfig vineyard, with roots the Maison carries in its logo «depuis 1904». Arthur Metz also worked as a négociant on the Quai de Bercy in Paris before consolidating operations in Alsace. In 1991 the company became part of the Helfrich family / the Les Grands Chais de France group, and in subsequent years merged with other local concerns. Today the Maison reports about 85 hectares of owned vineyards and works with hundreds of growers across a broad wine-growing area.
Production philosophy
Parcel-focused work and attention to the terroir: winemaking aimed at enhancing the origin of each parcel, with a preference for dry wines while ranges also include semi-sweet and late-harvest styles. The estate emphasizes environmentally friendly practices, long-term relationships with grape suppliers and projects to convert some parcels to organic farming.
