The Dolcetto d'Alba DOC produced by Rizzi winery is a magnificent specimen that masterfully and delicately captures the essence of the Piedmont region. This red wine is crafted entirely from Dolcetto grapes, carefully picked and selected from vineyards located in the heart of the Barbaresco area.
Characterized by a deep ruby red color with violet highlights, Rizzi's Dolcetto d'Alba exhibits vibrant aromas of cherry, wild berries, and a subtle floral note of violet on the nose. This is complemented by hints of sweet spices and a light touch of almond, typical of Dolcetto.
On the palate, it displays a balanced and harmonious structure. The acidity is well balanced by soft tannins, making the wine refreshingly drinkable. The aftertaste offers a pleasant aromatic persistence, with returns of fruit and a delicate spiciness.
Perfect to serve with dishes from the Piedmontese home cooking tradition, such as agnolotti del plin or tajarin with sausage sauce, Rizzi's Dolcetto d'Alba DOC also pairs excellently with fresh cheeses and red meats.
