The 2024 Dolcetto di Diano d’Alba from Fratelli Borgogno is a wine with an immediate and pleasant character, designed for early drinking but with good aromatic precision. In the glass it shows aromas of compact red fruits, a slight floral note and delicate herbal nuances; on the palate it is medium-bodied, taut and smooth, with soft tannins that support the drink without weighing it down, while a pleasant savory note and a pleasing persistence keep the finish clean and inviting. It’s a Dolcetto that does not aim for unnecessary complexity, instead focusing on balance and everyday drinkability.

Serve chilled, around 14–16 °C, to enhance its freshness and pleasant gustatory roundness; a light decanting of the bottle just after opening helps release the aromas in the first moments. It pairs naturally with cold cuts and young cheeses, first courses with rustic sauces, pizzas and grilled white meats; it also stands up well to the heartier preparations of regional cuisine. Ideal as a table wine for informal gatherings, it always brings a note of straightforwardness to the meal.
