The Etna DOC Rosso Contrada Santo Spirito by Palmento Costanzo is a wine that captures the essence of Etna's volcanic terroir through its native grapes, mainly Nerello Mascalese with an addition of Nerello Cappuccio. This label reflects the profound connection between the wine and its territory, enhancing the unique characteristics of the mineral-rich soil and the special microclimate that only the slopes of Etna can offer.

Produced in one of the most prestigious and sought after areas of Etna, the Santo Spirito district, this wine is a refined expression of Sicilian viticulture, where ancient practices blend with modern techniques to give life to wines of exceptional quality and complexity. The Santo Spirito district is renowned for its unique volcanic soils and ideal climatic conditions that allow slow and uniform ripening of the grapes, giving the wine an extraordinary concentration of flavors and lively acidity.

Palmento Costanzo follows an approach that respects the environment and biodiversity, adopting sustainable practices both in the vineyard and in the cellar. The fermentation of the wine takes place with indigenous yeasts in stainless steel tanks to maintain the integrity and freshness of the fruit. Subsequently, the wine is aged in wood to enrich its aromatic profile without stifling its varietal qualities and its territorial expression.

Visually, Contrada Santo Spirito presents itself with a vibrant ruby red color, with shades that tend towards garnet with the evolution of time. On the nose, the wine unfolds a complex bouquet of aromas, dominated by ripe red fruits, floral notes and a subtle spicy undertone, enriched by a marked minerality reminiscent of volcanic earth. These elements intertwine perfectly, offering an intense and inviting olfactory experience.

In the mouth, Etna Rosso Contrada Santo Spirito surprises with its elegant structure and its aromatic richness. The tannins are fine and well integrated, supported by a lively acidity that gives freshness and longevity to the wine. The palate is enveloped in flavors of cherry, wild strawberry and a touch of black pepper, which blend into a persistent and minerally clean finish.

Ideal in combination with rich and savory dishes such as red meats, game and mature cheeses, Etna DOC Rosso Contrada Santo Spirito is also a meditation wine, capable of evolving and revealing new nuances with ageing. With its Contrada Santo Spirito label, Palmento Costanzo offers a tribute to the power and beauty of Etna, celebrating its winemaking heritage with every sip.
