Descrizione

The Franciacorta DOCG Edea Satèn Brut by Mirabella displays a fine perlage and a soft mousse that define the satèn character, presenting a bright, inviting aspect in the glass. On the nose it offers delicate notes of white-fleshed fruit, light floral hints and a pleasant creamy sensation; the bouquet remains harmonious and restrained, without excess. On the palate it is gentle, with soft bubbles and a pleasant sapidity that balances the freshness, making it suitable for those seeking an elegant, non-aggressive profile. The structure stays slender, with a clean and agreeably persistent finish.

It pairs well with a variety of dishes: ideal with seafood starters, light fried items, shellfish and fresh cheeses, and can also accompany delicate international cuisine. Best served well chilled in glasses that highlight the fineness of the bubbles to appreciate its persistence and balance. It is at its best served around 6–8 °C. Winery history

Founded in 1979 by Teresio Schiavi with Giacomo Cavalli; the Mirabella vineyard produced its first wine in 1981. Initially located in Paderno Franciacorta, moved to Rodengo Saiano in 1982. Currently manages about 45 hectares registered to the DOCG Franciacorta.

Production philosophy

Production focused on quality, territorial protection and sustainability: an integrated pest-management protocol favoring biological methods, multi-residue testing, use of 100% renewable energy since 2012 (COFER certificate), and reduction of allergens/preservatives (e.g. Demetra line without added sulfites). Family-run (Schiavi) with emphasis on Pinot Blanc.

Terroir and vineyards

About 45 hectares of vineyards in the central-eastern Franciacorta area (communes of Paderno Franciacorta, Passirano, Bornato, Provaglio d’Iseo); on medium-textured morainic soils, fresh and well-drained.
