The Gewurztraminer Alto Adige DOC "Merus" from Tiefenbrunner presents a distinctive aromatic profile, with notes of rose, lychee, citrus peel and exotic spices layered with hints of ripe white fruit. On the nose it is intense without being overpowering; on the palate it shows a velvety texture, medium body and a balance of softness and freshness that supports the flavors without weighing them down. The finish is persistent, leaving floral and spicy echoes. The aromatic imprint remains clear, making the wine approachable while retaining a degree of complexity.

It suits a range of pairings: it pairs well with spiced or aromatic preparations, dishes based on crustaceans and shellfish, white meats and not overly robust aged cheeses. It can also work balancedly with ethnic cuisines where spices play a central role. It is also pleasant on its own as a wine for conversation. Serve at around 10–12 °C in broad tulip glasses to highlight aromas and structure; best enjoyed young to appreciate the aromatic freshness.
