Il Pino di Biserno, an elegant and intense expression of Toscana IGT, is born on the hills rich in history of Tenuta di Biserno. This wine is produced mainly with pure Merlot, a grape variety that finds here an ideal terroir, characterized by clay-limestone soils and a microclimate that favors a slow and even ripening of the grapes. The aging takes place in French oak barriques, where the wine spends a long period to develop complexity and structure without losing finesse.

In the glass, Il Pino presents itself with a deep ruby color, rich in violet reflections. On the nose, notes of ripe black fruits emerge, spicy hints and delicate balsamic nuances, accompanied by an elegant fragrance of tobacco and dark chocolate. On the palate it is full and enveloping, characterized by soft but well-present tannins, good acidity and a long and persistent finish, inviting new tastings.

Perfect with red meat dishes, game and aged cheeses, Il Pino di Biserno is a wine that intensely tells the best of contemporary Tuscany, able to surprise with balance and depth.

Winery history
The Tenuta di Biserno project was initiated by Lodovico and Piero Antinori together with their nephew Niccolò Marzichi Lenzi. The founders carried out a parcel-by-parcel study that led to the establishment of multiple production units and to the creation of the estate's flagship wine, Biserno.

The estates are located in the municipality of Bibbona, in the Alta Maremma, bordering the historic Bolgheri area. Soils range from alluvial to marine, sandy and clayey, with occurrences of the typical conglomerate of the Bolgheri area.
