Stefania Barbot's Ion Irpinia DOC Campi Taurasini is a precious gem in the wine scene of Irpinia, a region of Campania known for its wines of extraordinary quality and character. This red wine is produced from Aglianico grapes, a vine that finds its ideal terroir in Irpinia, giving wines of great aromatic intensity and structure. Stefania Barbot, appreciated for her passion and dedication to quality viticulture, has been able to interpret this vine with mastery, offering a wine that fully expresses the complexity and elegance of Campi Taurasini.

Wine Profile: Ion has a deep ruby red color, with garnet reflections which testify to its maturity and richness. On the nose, the wine unfolds a complex and enveloping bouquet, with dominant notes of ripe black fruit, such as plums and blackberries, enriched by nuances of spices, dark chocolate, leather and a light accent of tobacco and vanilla, the result of aging in wood .

In the mouth, Aglianico expresses all its power and structure, with vigorous but elegantly smooth tannins that blend into a full and robust body. The well-balanced acidity gives freshness and liveliness to the wine, leading towards a long and persistent finish, where the fruity and spicy flavors intertwine with mineral and balsamic sensations, typical of the Irpinia terroir.

Gastronomic Pairings: Stefania Barbot's Ion Irpinia DOC Campi Taurasini is a wine that requires dishes of equal intensity and structure. It goes perfectly with grilled or stewed red meats, game dishes, mature cheeses and traditional Campania recipes rich in flavours. Its complexity also makes it an excellent meditation wine, to be appreciated slowly to grasp every nuance.

This wine is an authentic expression of Stefania Barbot's passion for Irpinia and its main grape variety, Aglianico. With the Ion Campi Taurasini, the winery offers a sensorial journey into the traditions and flavors of a land rich in wine history, confirming its role as ambassador of Campania's wine excellence.
