The Brunello di Montalcino DOCG 2007 from Tenuta la Fuga (Folonari), presented in a wooden case, is a red wine of solid structure and balance. In the glass it shows a deep ruby color; on the nose it develops a complex, multi-layered profile: ripe fruit, spicy hints and subtle earthy nuances that integrate with a present but well-measured tannic frame. Its progression is restrained, displaying density and depth without excess. There is a balance between freshness and warmth, with a persistent finish that invites a second tasting.

It pairs well with red meats and game, hearty ragùs and aged cheeses, while remaining versatile with more substantial preparations. It is advisable to open the bottle in advance to allow the wine to breathe; serving temperature around 18°C. For a conservative approach, it can be enjoyed now or left to rest a few years, observing its development over time.

Winery history
The Folonari family has deep roots in the Brescia area and has been involved in wine production since the late 18th century. At the end of the 19th century the headquarters were moved to Brescia, and in the early 20th century the family acquired the historic Ruffino winery. In the 1960s Nino Folonari began a shift toward quality with the acquisition of estates in Chianti. In 2000 Ambrogio and Giovanni Folonari established Ambrogio e Giovanni Folonari Tenute, which brings together several estates in Tuscany, while the Folonari brand offers an extensive range of table wines and appellation wines.
Production philosophy
Enhance the production areas, combine tradition and innovation, and focus on grape quality to produce wines that are distinctive and closely tied to their territory; the company's plan includes investments in the estates and attention to the diversity of terroirs.
Terroir and vineyards
Headquarters and estates are mainly in Tuscany, with production and a presence also in north-eastern regions such as Veneto and in areas like the Collio; the company’s history begins in the Bresciano and includes references to territories around Lake Garda and beyond.
