Lago di Caldaro Classico DOC from Kettmeir presents itself with an immediate, inviting style: it shows a light ruby colour and fresh aromas recalling ripe red fruits—cherry and raspberry—with subtle floral hints and a barely perceptible herbaceous note. The olfactory impression is clean and direct, without excess, suggesting a wine made for everyday drinking but with a pleasant character, where balance and drinkability take centre stage.

On the palate it confirms the olfactory promise: the sip is lean, supported by good acidity that gives liveliness, while the tannins are soft and well integrated. The length is moderately pleasant and the finish stays on fruity memories rather than austere edges. An excellent match for cured meats and fresh cheeses, simple first courses and white meats; ideal served slightly chilled to enhance its freshness and readiness in the glass.
