Pairing Red meats, game, aged cheeses
The Lagrein Alto Adige DOC Latus from Ritterhof in magnum presents an intense color, deep ruby with violet hues, and a well-defined aromatic profile: ripe dark fruit — plum and black cherry — accompanied by delicate floral notes and a slight spicy touch. On the nose it shows good concentration without being overpowering, while on the palate the wine displays structure and freshness; the tannins are present but smooth, the sapidity keeps the sip dynamic and the persistence is pleasant, with fruity echoes that extend the finish.

In the glass it is a versatile companion for flavorful dishes: it stands up to roasts, red meats and game, pairs well with aged cheeses and traditional mountain cuisine. Served at around 16–18 °C it best expresses balance and depth; the magnum format, besides making sharing easier, promotes a more harmonious evolution in bottle, making it suitable both for immediate drinking and for a short cellar ageing.
