The Lagrein Baron Eyrl Alto Adige DOC in magnum format offers an intense interpretation of the grape variety: the color is deep, on the nose there are notes of dark berries, ripe cherry, light floral hints and a touch of spice and earth. On the palate it shows a full structure, tannins that are present yet well integrated, and acidity that supports the drinking; the balance leans toward a lingering, fragrant finish that invites measured sips. A gentle decanting can help it open more fully.

The magnum format, besides being ideal for convivial occasions, supports a slower progression of development in bottle and is pleasant to share. Classic pairings include grilled meats, game, mushroom dishes and hard cheeses; for simpler options it also pairs well with rustic, flavorful preparations. Serve around 16–18 °C; store in a cool, dark place. Producer: Cantina Bozen, designation Alto Adige DOC.
