The Marsannay "Les Grandes Vignes" from Domaine Bart offers an exemplary interpretation of the elegance and complexity that Burgundy wines can achieve. This red wine, originating from the renowned Côte de Nuits region, demonstrates the producer's skill in creating balanced wines with notable aging potential.

Exclusively produced from Pinot Noir grapes, the Marsannay "Les Grandes Vignes" reveals an intense and seductive aromatic palette. One can perceive aromas of ripe cherry, wild strawberries, and delicate hints of sweet spices, resulting from careful maturation in French oak barrels that impart nuances of vanilla and a light toasted touch.

On the palate, this wine stands out for its elegant structure and silky texture. The balance between lively acidity and finely crafted tannins makes each sip harmonious and persistent. The fruity notes blend with impressions of wet earth and minerals, typical of the terroir-specific expression of Marsannay.

Ideal to serve at a temperature of 16-18°C, the Marsannay "Les Grandes Vignes" pairs wonderfully with delicately spiced red meat dishes, roasted poultry, and aged cheeses. Its complexity and depth also make it perfect as a wine for contemplation.

With its aging potential, this wine can be left to rest in the cellar for several years, where it will continue to evolve, developing further taste and aromatic nuances. Purchasing a bottle of Marsannay "Les Grandes Vignes" from Domaine Bart represents an excellent choice for connoisseurs wishing to explore the refined craftsmanship of Burgundy wines. For those who appreciate wines with a rich expression of terroir, this will undoubtedly be a valuable addition to their collection.

Winery history
The domaine has been managed by several generations of the Bart family. The estate expanded in the 1980s thanks to an inheritance resulting from the division of the former Domaine Clair-Daü; Martin and Odile Bart have led the estate since the 1980s, and Pierre Bart represents the youngest generation involved in winemaking. Over time the holdings have grown to include numerous parcels in Marsannay and some vineyards in neighboring appellations and Grand Cru sites.
Production philosophy
Production focused on expressing the terroir: manual work in the vineyard, limited intervention in the cellar and sustainable/integrated cultivation practices are frequently mentioned in estate descriptions. The approach prioritises varietal purity and the representation of the individual lieux-dits of Marsannay.
Terroir and vineyards
