The Merlot DOC Maremma Toscana "Messiio" in boxed Magnum format by Tenuta Fertuna is a true celebration of the quality and elegance of Merlot grown in the fertile terroir of the Tuscan Maremma. This wine represents the excellence of Tenuta Fertuna, a winery that has stood out for its ability to interpret international vines with mastery and innovation in the unique context of Tuscany, creating wines of profound character and refinement.

"Messiio" is the result of a careful selection of the best Merlot grapes, coming from vineyards managed with agricultural practices attentive to sustainability and respect for the territory. The refinement in oak barriques allows the wine to develop an aromatic complexity and a harmonious tannic structure, while maintaining the freshness and intensity of the fruit characteristic of Merlot.

The presentation in Magnum format, enclosed in an elegant case, underlines not only the greatness of this wine but also its suitability as a prestigious gift or as a collector's item in the cellars of wine lovers. The Magnum format also contributes to a slower and more gradual aging of the wine, allowing it to evolve and enrich itself with new nuances over time.

Visually, the "Messiio" presents itself with an intense and vibrant red color. On the nose, the bouquet is rich and complex, with dominant notes of ripe red fruits, sweet spices, vanilla and a hint of chocolate, enriched by balsamic and earthy nuances that add depth and finesse. In the mouth, the wine expresses great elegance and power, with velvety tannins and a balanced structure that harmonises perfectly with the acidity. The flavors of ripe fruit and toasted notes integrate into a long and persistent finish.

Ideal for accompanying important dishes such as roasts, game and mature cheeses, the "Messiio" Merlot DOC Maremma Toscana in Magnum boxed format is also a superb meditation wine, which invites you to reflect on the complexity and beauty of the great Tuscan wines.

In conclusion, the "Messiio" of Tenuta Fertuna is a high-level expression of Merlot, which combines the aromatic richness and structure typical of the vine with the freshness and elegance conferred by the Maremma terroir, representing an excellent example of how tradition and innovation can meet to create unique and memorable wines.

Winery history
The modern project of Tenuta Fertuna began in the 1990s with the planting of the vineyards in 1997; the property developed on an estate featuring an early 20th-century villa, renovated and also converted into guest accommodation. Over the years the winery has complemented its wine production with wine tourism and dining activities, integrating business management and sustainability principles.
