The Merlot Friuli DOC from Ca Modeano is born in the heart of Friuli, a region renowned for its extraordinary ability to enhance international grape varieties thanks to a unique microclimate, characterized by temperature fluctuations that promote the balance and complexity of the grapes. This Merlot best expresses the soft character of the variety, with an aromatic profile that recalls intense scents of ripe red fruits, such as cherry and plum, enriched by delicate spicy notes and a hint of vanilla due to aging in wood. The velvety structure and gentle tannins make the sip harmonious and enveloping, able to elegantly accompany succulent dishes based on red meats, game, and aged cheeses.
