The berries used for Bricco dei Guazzi's Nebbiolo d'Alba DOC are harvested in a vineyard cultivated at 280 m above sea level, on highly calcareous soil. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks, followed by an elevation of 12 months in French oak barriques.

In the glass it has a beautiful ruby red color with garnet reflections. The fruity aromas of blackberry and cherry in spirit are accompanied by nuances of vanilla, cocoa and tobacco. Elegant taste, enhanced by a juicy acidity that leads to a delicately spiced finish.

A glass that goes perfectly with land-based recipes, in particular with first courses seasoned with game-based sauces such as tagliatelle with hare or wild boar ragout.

Winery history
The estate traces its roots to the village of Olivola: the Villa del Bel Riposo was built by Stefano Guazzo in the second half of the 16th century, and in subsequent centuries the property also passed to the Conti Candiani. Winemaking remains a living tradition at the estate, which preserves traces of its noble history by combining historic buildings with modern cellar facilities.
Production philosophy
Faithful to Monferrato's identity, the winery combines precision viticulture and an artisanal approach with the use of contemporary technologies. The winery aims for elegant, distinctive wines, showcasing indigenous grape varieties alongside some experimental projects from Langhe and Gavi.
Terroir and vineyards
Monferrato hills near Casale Monferrato. Marly-calcareous soils; presence of infernot and historic structures of the estate.
