Pairing Red meats, aged cheeses
This Nebbiolo Langhe DOC 2024 from Mario Marengo shows an immediate, frank character: light ruby red color and aromas of cherry, raspberry and rose petal, with a fresh spicy note and a mineral hint that adds clarity. The texture is lean yet defined; the acidity is lively and the fine tannins accompany the sip with grace, offering an elegant, highly drinkable wine without weighing it down. The persistence is moderate but distinct, with fruity echoes that invite another sip.

On the palate it confirms its freshness and drinkability, with a savory finish that prolongs a pleasant persistence. It can be enjoyed right away but benefits from a short aeration: a few minutes in the decanter or in the glass helps open up the aromas. It pairs effortlessly with mushroom risottos, roasted white meats, cured meats and semi-aged cheeses; it also stands up to more structured dishes if served with care. Ideal serving temperature 16–18 °C to capture the subtle elegance and varietal expression of Nebbiolo.
