The Negroamaro Puglia IGP Orfeo by Paolo Leo is a true expression of the Puglian terroir, where the Mediterranean climate and cutting-edge winemaking techniques merge to create a wine of character and depth. This intense red is produced exclusively with Negroamaro grapes, an indigenous variety of the region known for its ability to generate rich and complex wines.

In appearance, Orfeo displays a deep ruby red color with violet hues that attest to its youth and vitality. On the nose, the wine offers a rich and persistent bouquet, with aromas of ripe red fruit such as plum and cherry, accompanied by spicy notes of vanilla and black pepper, thanks to maturation in barrique.

On the palate, the structure of this Negroamaro is impressive, with well-integrated and soft tannins that make it a balanced and harmonious wine. The acidity is well balanced, contributing to the freshness of the sip. The finish is long and persistent, with a lingering aftertaste that recalls spices and ripe fruit.

Orfeo pairs perfectly with robust dishes, such as red meat roasts, game, and aged cheeses. It is also excellent as a meditation wine, to be enjoyed on its own to fully appreciate its complexity.

To enhance all its organoleptic nuances, Orfeo should be served at a temperature of 16-18°C. It can be enjoyed immediately, but it also has excellent aging potential, capable of evolving and enriching further in the coming years. A true gem of Puglian winemaking, Orfeo by Paolo Leo is an excellent example of how Negroamaro can best express itself in the lands of southern Italy.
