The Negroamaro Salento IGT from the Linea Morigine of Funiati Artigiani Viticoltori is a sincere tribute to the Apulian territory, cradle of ancient winemaking traditions. This wine is made from Negroamaro grapes, the symbol grape of Salento, which best expresses its character thanks to the Mediterranean climate and soils rich in limestone and clay. The winemaking follows artisanal methods, with careful aging that enhances depth and complexity, while maintaining freshness and drinkability.

In the glass, it presents an intense ruby red color, while the nose offers enveloping aromas of ripe red fruits, sweet spices, and light balsamic notes. On the palate, the full and tannic structure is balanced by a pleasant savoriness and a persistent finish that invites another sip. Perfect paired with roasted meats, aged cheeses, and rustic Mediterranean cuisine dishes, this Negroamaro tells the story of the land and the passion of Funiati with elegance and authenticity.

Winery history
A family-run winery that showcases the indigenous grapes of Salento. On its official website it states that operations began in 2020 and describes multiple generations involved in viticulture; however, some external listings report different years. To avoid discrepancies, the 'foundation_year' field remains null and chronological information should be verified directly from the listed sources.
Production philosophy
Territorial, artisanal production: exclusively vinified from estate-grown grapes, hand-harvested and subject to meticulous control of cellar processes to capture in the bottle the sense of place and the expressiveness of indigenous varieties.
Terroir and vineyards
Located in San Pancrazio Salentino, in the Salento area and close to the Salice Salentino appellation. Vineyards are situated a short distance from the sea on predominantly deep, clay soils, with diurnal temperature variations that contribute to the freshness of the grapes.
