The Nerello Mascalese Terre Siciliane IGP by Molino a Vento, produced by Tenute Orestiadi, embodies the very essence of the Sicilian landscape, a territory steeped in history and wine culture. Known for its characterful wines, Tenute Orestiadi cultivates Nerello Mascalese, an indigenous grape variety that finds its ideal habitat in the volcanic slopes and mineral-rich soils of Sicily.

This red wine displays an intense ruby color, a distinctive sign of its youth and vibrancy. On the nose, Nerello Mascalese boasts a complex aromatic bouquet, where notes of red fruits like cherry and strawberry stand out, delicately paired with hints of spices and a light touch of vanilla, deriving from a brief aging in barrique.

On the palate, it expresses a perfect balance between acidity and tannins, with soft yet present tannins that enhance its persistence and structure. Freshness is a distinctive feature, making it particularly enjoyable and suitable for pairing with a variety of dishes, from red meat-based courses to more spiced ethnic cuisine.

Charming in its complexity, the Nerello Mascalese Terre Siciliane IGP is ideal for those seeking a wine that encapsulates the typicality of the territory combined with a modern winemaking sensibility. It is undoubtedly an excellent choice for lovers of Sicilian wines that embody the power of the Mediterranean sun and the freshness of the windy highlands. Perfect to enjoy young, but also capable of evolving magnificently if left to rest in the cellar for a few years.
