Boscarelli's Vino Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG "Nocio" in Magnum format represents one of the highest and most refined expressions of the Sangiovese grape, or Prugnolo Gentile, grown in the unique terroir of Montepulciano. This wine is the result of a careful selection of grapes coming from the single "Nocio" vineyard, a plot which due to its exposure and composition of the soil is capable of expressing a Sangiovese of exceptional quality and complexity. The Boscarelli winery, one of the most esteemed and respected in the region, gives this wine a care and attention that translates into a product of extraordinary depth and finesse.

The Magnum format, which corresponds to two standard bottles, is particularly appreciated by connoisseurs for its ability to encourage a slower and more harmonious evolution of the wine, making the "Nocio" even more complex and stratified over time. This format is also synonymous with celebration and sharing, making it perfect for special occasions.

The vinification of "Nocio" involves traditional fermentation followed by long aging in French oak barriques, which gives the wine elegant notes of spices, tobacco and leather, perfectly integrated with the rich fruity and floral expression of Sangiovese. This maturation process enriches the wine without overpowering its varietal characteristics, maintaining a perfect balance between power and elegance.

Visually, the "Nocio" has an intense ruby red color, with garnet reflections that develop with age. On the nose, the wine offers a complex and enveloping aromatic profile, with notes of ripe red fruits, cherries in alcohol, dried flowers, enriched with nuances of spices, tobacco and a light balsamic vein, evidence of the aging in wood.

In the mouth, the "Nocio" demonstrates extraordinary richness, with silky and well-integrated tannins that support a robust body and a deep flavor texture. The natural acidity of Sangiovese guarantees freshness and vitality, leading towards a long and persistent finish, characterized by notable elegance and an impeccable balance between aromatic and structural intensity.

Ideal in combination with rich and tasty dishes, such as roast meat, game, truffle-based dishes and mature cheeses, Boscarelli's Vino Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG "Nocio" in Magnum format is a choice of great value for those who want to celebrate moments special with a wine capable of offering a tasting experience of the highest level, testifying to the passion and excellence of the Boscarelli winery in the Tuscan wine scene.

Winery history
Poderi Boscarelli is a family-run winery born from the passion of the Corradi/De Ferrari family, who relocated to Valdichiana and established roots in the hamlet of Cervognano. Over generations the family has steadily developed production and introduced selections and distinctive wines, including the Riserva "Il Nocio", and has entrusted current management to members of the De Ferrari Corradi family.
Production philosophy
The estate highlights the diversity of soils and clonal selections, harvesting and vinifying vineyard parcels separately and then assembling them into the final blends. This approach is focused on expressing the terroir of Cervognano, with careful attention to optimal ripeness and grape quality.
Terroir and vineyards
The vineyards are located on the hill of Cervognano, at about 300 m above sea level, on alluvial, sandy, well‑drained soils, with thermal breezes that create a microclimate favorable to quality viticulture. The site faces the Valdichiana.
