The Passito Alpi Retiche di Sondrio IGT "Ispirazione" by Nino Negri, presented in an elegant 50cl format and boxed, is a sublime expression of the winemaking heritage of Valtellina, one of the most prestigious and characteristic regions of northern Italy. This passito wine is the result of a careful selection of grapes, left to dry naturally to concentrate sugars, aromas and flavours, before being expertly vinified by Nino Negri, a historic winery that has represented the oenological excellence of the region for over a century.

"Ispirazione" is produced mainly from Nebbiolo grapes, locally known as Chiavennasca, which find an ideal terroir in the Rhaetian Alps to express complexity and intensity. The long tradition of producing dessert wines in Valtellina gives this wine unique characteristics, combined with innovative winemaking and aging techniques that enhance its quality and finesse.

Visually, the wine presents itself with an intense and brilliant amber color, a sign of the richness and concentration achieved through the drying process. On the nose, "Ispirazione" offers a complex and enveloping bouquet, with notes of dried fruit, figs, honey, dehydrated apricot and sweet spices, enriched by nuances of caramel and vanilla, which reflect the elegance and depth of the wine.

On the palate, the sweetness is perfectly balanced by a fresh acidity, which gives the wine dynamism and length. The structure is opulent but never heavy, with a velvety texture that envelops the palate, leading to a persistent and aromatic finish, where the intense flavors and sweet notes blend in a highly satisfying gustatory harmony.

Ideal as a meditation wine or paired with complex desserts, blue cheeses and foie gras, Passito Alpi Retiche di Sondrio IGT "Ispirazione" by Nino Negri is a true oenological jewel, capable of offering a unique and unforgettable tasting experience.

With "Ispirazione", Nino Negri celebrates the richness and variety of the winemaking heritage of the Rhaetian Alps, offering a passito wine of exceptional quality, which embodies the passion, tradition and innovation that have always characterized the winery.

Winery history
Founded by Nino Negri and with deep roots in Chiuro, the winery has more than a century of history. The company website records historical milestones, from the 15th‑century palazzo that houses the winery to the company's official registration and subsequent phases of growth; in recent years Nino Negri joined Gruppo Italiano Vini and has benefited from the work of prominent oenologists who contributed to the winery's qualitative development.
Production philosophy
The winery aims to highlight the distinctive character of Chiavennasca through mountain viticulture, careful selection of cru and winemaking techniques that reflect the valley’s microclimatic and soil variations. It combines local tradition with modern methods to produce wines that express the territory.
Terroir and vineyards
The vineyards are in Valtellina, cultivated on steep terraces with dry-stone walls in historic subzones such as Sassella, Grumello, Inferno and Valgella. The soil is often shallow, rich in schist and quartz fragments; exposure and a wide diurnal temperature range give the wines structure, acidity and minerality.
