The Pelaverga di Verduno offered by Poderi Luigi Einaudi presents an immediate, subtle profile: light ruby red, a lively nose where notes of small red berries, white pepper and a floral hint stand out. The palate is slim and taut, with a fine tannic texture and a freshness that makes it sprightly; the persistence is modest but clean, leaving memories of fruit and spice. The drink goes down clear, with a slightly savory finish that invites another sip. It doesn’t seek power but precision and drinkability, suitable for those looking for an agile yet characterful wine.

At the table it finds a natural affinity with starters of cured meats and fresh cheeses, simple first courses with mushrooms or light sauces, and grilled white meats; it also suits traditional Piedmontese dishes without overpowering them. Also excellent for informal aperitifs or to accompany dishes with aromatic herbs. It is advisable to serve it slightly chilled, in large glasses that enhance the aromatic profile, and to enjoy it young to capture its initial liveliness.
