The Petrucci Anfiteatro DOC Orcia - Jeroboam - Wooden Case by Podere Forte is a sublimated expression of the Val d'Orcia terroir, an area renowned for the production of high-quality wines, located in Tuscany. This wine is presented in a 3-liter Jeroboam format, housed in an elegant wooden case, ideal for special occasions or as a prestigious gift.

Produced by the Podere Forte winery, this label stands out for its strong character and well-defined identity, the result of a production philosophy that strives for excellence and respects the natural environmental balance. The grapes used for Petrucci Anfiteatro are carefully selected and come exclusively from the estate’s vineyards, ensuring rigorous quality control at every stage of the production process.

On the nose, Petrucci Anfiteatro opens with intensely fruity and spicy notes, featuring evident tones of dark berries blended with hints of tobacco, leather, and chocolate, further enhanced by barrel aging which adds an additional level of aromatic complexity.

On the palate, it presents as robust and full-bodied, with well-structured yet soft tannins, impeccable balance, and a long, persistent finish. Its complexity and structure make it perfect for accompanying red meat dishes, game, and aged cheeses.

Serve at a temperature of 18°C to fully appreciate its richness and variety of nuances. Recommended for tasting from now until the next few decades, this wine demonstrates remarkable aging potential, evolving beautifully over time.

Winery history
Podere Forte was founded as an agricultural project led by Pasquale Forte and developed around the idea of a self-sufficient estate. The estate, operating since 1997, has re-created an integrated farm in the Val d’Orcia where viticulture, olive growing, beekeeping and livestock farming coexist, following organic and biodynamic practices.
Production philosophy
The estate is managed according to the principles of organic and biodynamic agriculture, with attention to soil health, production autonomy and the enhancement of local resources. The approach combines traditional techniques with precision tools in a system called "Sistema Forte," aimed at environmental and social sustainability.
Terroir and vineyards
The estate is located in the Val d’Orcia, a landscape recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site; the vineyards are planted on soils rich in schist and clay at varying elevations, which favor typical expressions of Sangiovese and Bordeaux-style blends. The estate also has extensive olive groves and large areas of agricultural land.
Awards and recognitions
Some Podere Forte wines have received recognition in international guides and competitions across different vintages.
