Let’s talk about Pietrabianca Castel del Monte DOC - Magnum - Biologico - Tenuta Bocca di Lupo

More questions

The Pietrabianca Castel del Monte DOC from Tenuta Bocca di Lupo, presented in magnum and produced organically, offers a bright and inviting profile. Pale straw in colour, it opens on the nose with notes of white‑fleshed fruit, citrus and white flowers, accompanied by a discreet mineral hint. On the palate it shows fresh, well‑balanced acidity and a lean structure, with clean aromatic echoes and a pleasant persistence that makes it suitable for immediate enjoyment without being trivial.

The magnum format is particularly suited to convivial occasions, promoting a slower evolution during service. Recommended chilled, it is versatile at the table: it pairs with seafood starters, light fish dishes, summer salads and fresh cheeses, and also works well as an aperitif wine. With this wine Tenuta Bocca di Lupo offers an organic option that favors simplicity and drinkability, ideal for those looking for an everyday white with character.

The story
The Tenuta Bocca di Lupo project was launched as an initiative of Tormaresca to rediscover and promote Puglia's native grape varieties. The company website states that the project began in 1998 and has developed over the years to become a point of reference in the Castel del Monte area.
Production philosophy
The estate prioritizes organic vineyard management and a terroir-driven approach to its grape varieties. Its aim is to offer contemporary expressions of local varieties and signature selections, grounding production in the quality of the terroir and in sustainable agricultural practices.
Terroir and vineyards
The estate is located in the Murgia, in the countryside of Minervino Murge, within the Castel del Monte DOC area. The vineyards are cultivated on nutrient‑poor calcareous soils at elevations of around 250–300 meters above sea level, and the landscape is characterized by climatic and soil conditions that favor elegant, well‑defined wines.
