The Pievecroce Lugana DOC 2024 from Costaripa presents itself with balance and precision: in the glass it shows a bright straw-yellow color, with aromatic profiles that oscillate between white flowers, citrus peel and a subtle note of bitter almond. The sip is fresh and nervy, supported by a pleasant salinity that lengthens the drink without weighing it down; the texture is lean but decisive, with a balanced softness that allows for an elegant persistence. The acidity is lively yet well integrated and light mineral nuances add tension, making the finish clean and inviting.

A wine to be enjoyed young to capture its vivacity, it can nevertheless withstand short aging if greater roundness is desired. It pairs easily with seafood dishes, shellfish and grilled fish, seafood risottos and delicate preparations like sashimi; it also goes well with vegetable starters and fresh cheeses. Serve chilled, around 10–12°C, in a glass that is not too large to preserve the aromas. A white with character, versatile and frankly enjoyable on any informal occasion or as an aperitif.
