The Pinot Nero Alto Adige DOC Praesulis from Gumphof highlights the understated elegance of the variety within the Alto Adige context. With a translucent ruby colour, it opens on the nose with small red fruit — cherry and raspberry — accompanied by delicate floral notes and a hint of spice. The bouquet remains restrained and clear, inviting a focused tasting.

On the palate it shows lively freshness and fine tannins, with a balance that favours drinkability and flavour depth over opulence. It pairs with cured meats, white meat dishes, mushrooms and soft cheeses, and adapts well to more savoury preparations. Serve at around 16–18 °C; brief aeration in the glass can enhance its aromas. A label that emphasises the precision and grace of Alto Adige Pinot Nero.
